Our free, sustainably sourced community dinners aim to create space to see each other, initiating ideas and conversation around change, for local and global challenges.
The launch hopes to engage the 'siloed' communities in Hackney Wick & Fish Island, separated across vastly contrasting demographics, with little overlap of lives within public spaces, despite the area’s microcosm feel. The invitation will be to share a meal and an Open Call to join our ‘Commons Songbook‘ music project which in time, we hope reveals commonalities as well as celebrates differences.
Our chef will begin by introducing the cultural origin of the menu, where it was sourced and its nutritional value. The evening will facilitate sharing local memories, challenges and ideas for a Eutopia, which will be fed-back and start the process of co-designing COMMUNE with the whole neighbourhood.
